Aiden’s First Word?

At 13.5 months, we think we may finally have a first word. Maybe. A few months ago, I thought Aiden said “ok” to a question. He never said it again. Sometimes he’s said “dada” or “daddy” when Ianiv is around, but not consistently. When he’s crying at night, he sometimes calls for “meme” and apparently, once, “Mommy”. But never during the day.

Now, just twice so far, he’s said “hat.” In context. Each time, he’s been in his car seat and ready to come out of the car. When that’s time, he knows it’s time to put his hat on and lifts it to his head. Once it was on, each time he pointed to his head and said “hat.”

We were very excited that he did it twice in a row. But it’s been a couple of days sans repeat again.

So… first word? Maybe?
