Hard to believe my newborn is 3 months old now. He’s grown up so much in this past month! It’s been a big month for us. Perhaps unsurprisingly, we don’t have all the photos downloaded, so I haven’t written about some of our adventures. During the month, we celebrated Damien with a wonderful baby shower at his grandmother’s house (Babby) and paid visits to two new baby girls in his life. He’s definitely outnumbered by girls in his ‘friend’ set! Last night we also celebrated my mom’s (Oma) 60th birthday!

• Weighs 13lbs 7oz on the 23rd
• Wears mostly 3-6 month clothes
• Began sleep training at 8 weeks (more on that later) – now sleeps 6pm – 6:30am with a feed at 10:30pm and 3:30am. Naps in his crib for his first of 4 naps.
• Began batting at toys a week past 2 months old
• Had his first cold at 10 weeks old
• Loves to play peekaboo
• Loves getting dressed and undressed and having a diaper change
• Ticklish, especially under his chin
• Will giggle if you laugh, tickle him or make gibberish noises repetitively
• Loves to smile. Will pull out a smile if you smile or sing.
• Has laughed in his sleep twice
• Loves to watch his big brother
• A big drooler
• Went down a slide for the first time (with Mommy)
• Can roll in both directions. Rolled back-to-front in his crib at 2.5 months, though consistently has slept on his stomach for only 1 week. Rolled over front-to-back for the first time yesterday
• If placed on his back, will push with his feet to move backwards. Can also rotate in a circle from pumping his legs up and down with some half rolls.
• Began deliberately reaching and grasping toys held in front of him yesterday
• Sucks his thumb (either, though the right more often). Is able to get it in his mouth when sleeping, in the sling, on the floor or in the carseat. Not so great at finding his fingers if held on a lap.
