I’ve always hated that phrase: “sleeping like a baby.” You mean, barely sleeping? But now, I see it… And not because Aiden sleeps well. Because, even at nearly 2 years old, he’s my baby again when he sleeps.
He’s my baby when he sucks his thumb and curls up on his blanky. When his little lips part and he twitches a smile. When he melts onto my shoulder after falling asleep in the car. He’s my baby always, but most in these moments.
We just had our family portraits done by Holly & Roger of the Labour Union. Aiden was a real trooper for the shoot, laughing or giggling in many of the shots. There are some funny outtakes of him with a grumpy/laughing face that I’ll share once we have the full photo set.
For now, here’s a preview of the family portrait – one of our favourite shots:
If you have a second, please hop on over to the Labour Union blog to leave a comment. We get a little prize for the number of comments there. Nice perk!
We all know I keep dreaming of hair. Aiden’s hair, specifically. Wondering when he’ll get it. Well, here’s proof that it is slowly coming in.
Photos taken on April 13th and July 14th.
My wonderful mother-in-law, aka Bobe Dorita, snagged the very first photo of Aiden’s two teeth! Aiden got his first tooth on July 14th but, nearly one month later, it’s still just about half way out. The second tooth is just barely visible above the gums.
Because Aiden has such kissable lips, the teeth are almost never visible, particularly for photos. But those whitish bumps – those are his teeth. :)
